Ranson E.Olds built an experimental three-wheeled steam car in 1891. He abandoned the idea and six years later he developed his first gasoline engines. Olds is credited with being to first to mass produce automobiles, the famous "Curved Dash" Oldsmobile. Later he started the REO automobile company.[1]
