Advertising 1910

Models MM & OO

This postcard advertised White's 1910 Model O-O, the twenty horsepower touring car.  It carries a local dealer's name and address, American Motor & Garage Co. Manistee, Michigan. It is postmarked September 7, 1909, but sadly the stamp has been harvested.

This real photo postcard shows a family in its White Steamer. The message on the back even refers to our White. It is postmarked January 1913, but was probably taken the previous summer or fall.

This 1953 blotter is entitled AUTOMEMORIES and plays on the burgeoning interest in antique automobiles.

This Harper's Magazine advertisement promotes both steam and gasoline automobiles.  May 1910, no page number,

This full page advertisement appeared in Motor Age Magazine in late 1909, p. 47. The month is unknown.

This advertisement for White's gasoline cars appeared on the inside cover of Traveler Magazine, for December 1910. White had ceased to manufacture steam cars.

This June 1910 advertisement in the International Studio magazine clearly markets the steam and gasoline White automobiles.

This 1912 letter implies that the writer inquired of White about a steam car.
