Frank Milne of Everett, MA, marketed a steam automobile, identified as "Built To Order." His brochure promoted his boilers and it is unclear if Milne ever produced a car. It was likely a version of George E. Whitney's steam carriage, although the connection is not entirely clear.

The September 12, 1899 issue of Motor Age describes the Stanley-Whitney Steam Carriage as being made by George E. Whitney. The Everett Motor Carriage Company of Everett, MA apparently made a few of these carriages, perhaps under license from George Whitney. However the firm decided "to confine their attention to boilers and engines for motor carriages," changing its name to Milne & Killam. John A. Conde Collection.

Frank Milne's brochure focused almost entirely on his boilers. His steam automobile, although prominently featured on the cover, seems almost an after thought, as there is no mention of it in his trade catalogue. A second photocopy from an unknown sourcs is found in the COnde Collection. John A. Conde Collection.
